3D LEAD | IPSOFT

In 2018, During my time at IPSOFT, now known as AMELIA.ai I was responsible for developing Amelia’s avatar, a fully functional realistic avatar that was able to talk to you, move and gesticulate as she speak.

The extent of my role was huge as I was responsible to work on Look development and technical direction of the avatar, its rig and animation via Motion Capture or hand animation within both Unreal Engine 4 and Unity3D, as Amelia’s interface with the user was based on Unity for Web and mobile and UE4 for the totems and fair exhibitions.
As well as documenting the whole process for the rest of the team, providing guidance and building a knowledge base. Building the bridge between the art department and the developers. Creatively giving inputs on problem-solving from an artistic and technical standpoint.

I was also responsible for creating promotional materials using Maya and rendering with Arnold or Redshift.

I was responsible to revamp all the shaders, new hair look dev, including modeling/grooming, clothes models, new eyes look dev, upgrading the face model, textures, adding pores, skin shader, in all platforms, real-time and pre-rendered imagery.

This project was before the release of RTX technology so there was no raytracing involved.
