BARNARD’S LOOP

Barnard’s Loop encompasses the whole area of the Orion Constellation, its a huge emission, reflection and dark nebulas region.

This is the first light of a new Rokinon 135mm f2 Canon EF mount lens, shot with a Optolong L-Pro filter under Bortle 4-5. It’s been a while since saw a wide field of the area and I decided that I needed to shoot the Orion Constellation with a astro camera with a bigger sensor like the micro 4/3s of the IMX 294 sensor. It is wonderful to see what a wide field like this can show us, I wasn’t expecting to frame m78 on the lower left corner, came as a bonus! Wish I had framed it better.
I’ll post a progression of different fields of view, getting wider and wider of the region.
